TAKE A LOOK AT SOME NEW INCREDIBLE CARDS IN THE UPCOMING EXPANSION, SCARLET & VIOLET-PALDEA EVOLVED

Get ready to explore the new, upcoming Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved! On June 9, 2023, over 190 cards packed with newly discovered Pokémon from the Paldea region, Pokémon ex and Tera Pokémon ex, plus Trainer and Special Energy cards, will be available. Additionally, you don't want to miss the illustration rare cards, featuring eye-catching artwork that brings characters to life. Let's dive into some of Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved's exciting cards before this expansion debuts!

Tinkatuff

Tinkatuff is not only adorable but also incredibly resilient! Illustrator Tika Matsuno depicts Tinkatuff hard at work, hammering away at a sheet of metal in a cave filled with vibrant, colourful crystals. A swift glance at the rest of the scene reveals a metal pipe, girder, and other materials for Tinkatuff’s tool-crafting shenanigans. Judging by this progression, it seems that this Tinkatuff will soon complete forging its next hammer. You can check out the full progression starting with the Tinkatink depiction rare card and concluding with the special illustration rare card, showcasing Tinkaton ex.

Baxcalibur

Illustrator Tomokazu Komiya has created a magnificent scene, in which Baxcalibur is seen flipping over and using Glaive Rush, its signature move from the Pokémon video game, to chop down a tree in its snowy mountain habitat. One can notice a person in fear watching the unfolding scene from the window of their home in the upper left-hand corner of the artwork. To truly appreciate this masterpiece, it is recommended to use Baxcalibur's potent Ability. "Super Cold" allows you to attach a Basic Water Energy card from your hand to one of your Pokémon as often as you like during your turn, enabling you to quickly power up even the most unwieldy Pokémon to attack.

Chi-Yu ex

Chi-Yu is one of four Treasures of Ruin appearing in Pokémon TCG as a powerful Pokémon ex. Drenched in dark flames, this Pokémon storms through the card frame, engulfing artwork and borders. It possesses a fierce arsenal of attacks, including the Jealously Singe attack that burns the opponent's resources and forces them to discard two top cards off their deck by using one Fire Energy. If you want to blaze past your opponent, the Flame Surge attack deals 100 damage to the opposing Pokémon for using two Fire Energy, and you can attach a Fire Energy from your deck to 3 of your benched Pokémon.

Reversal Energy

It's time to turn the tables on your adversary! This Special Energy Card looks familiar to the Scramble Energy from the EX Deoxys expansion released in 2005, and its potential is timeless. If you own more Prize Cards left than your opponent and Reversal Energy is attached to an Evolution Pokemon with no Rule Box, this card gives 3 of every Energy Type at once. Give a shot at combining this card with Evolution Pokemon that have formidable but costly attacks, for instance, Cetitan from the Scarlet & Violet expansion. Reversal Energy is sure to be a powerful card in the Gym Leader Challenge alternative play format, where Evolution Pokemon have no Rule Box and can utilize this Special Energy Card.

Giacomo

Giacomo leads Team Star's Dark crew and is also a DJ with a passion for music. Illustrator KIYOTAKA OSHIYAMA depicts one of Giacomo's preshow activities. The elevated perspective from the rafters shows Team Star's leader reviewing notes whilst snacking on what appears to be a hot dog. Giacomo's determination as a DJ is evident, as is his commitment to discarding a Special Energy from each of your opponent's Pokémon. This effect is disruptive for rebellious Dark-type Trainer like Giacomo, and the Supporter card can even discard the previously mentioned Reversal Energy. Opponents won't forget Giacomo's name!
